Recumbent year 2023/2024: Our innovations for the coming model year are all about “automatics”. This also applies to our brand new Delta tx model. At the same time, we are introducing the second-generation Neodrives Z20 system.

Delta tx – The Lightest Entry Into the Trike Class
With our new Delta tx we make safe cycling easier than ever before! In order to make the bike particularly inviting, comfortable and safe for the target group, we are relying for the first time in our 30-year company history on a design with two wheels at the rear and one wheel at the front.
The Delta tx is available from the beginning of 2024 in the colors Blue flash und Sparkling iron gray from MSRP €5.990 / $6,920. We also offer the new model as a fully equipped Special Edition model based on the Bafang M300 motor and Enviolo Trekking Automatiq hub.

New: Shimano STEPS EP801 Cargo and Enviolo Trekking Automatiq – Stepless and Automatic
The short term introduction of the Enviolo Trekking Automatiq hub in combination with the Shimano STEPS EP801 Cargo at the beginning of this year was a complete success, which we will continue in the model year 2023/24.
The Trekking Automatiq not only changes the gear ratio automatically (gear ratio range 380%), but also does so continuously and based on the individually adjustable cadence. A free app from Enviolo is offered for this purpose. This is the ultimate “shifting comfort”, the rider can pedal with the same leg power at all times. Cycling can hardly be more stress-free.
NEW: Shimano STEPS EP801 Cargo and Cues Di2 – Automatic Gear Changes and More
Following the successful introduction of the Shimano STEPS EP801 Cargo system, we are expanding the shifting range to include the automatic 10-speed Cues Di2 derailleur with Autoshift and Freeshift technology, originally announced for the 2023 model year.
This new shifting option based on the Shimano STEPS EP801 Cargo is available to order from July 2023 and starts at an MSRP of €3.290 / $3,630 (Scorpion fs 26 Enduro: Shimano STEPS EP801 Cargo, Cues Di2 10-speed derailleur, 418 Wh battery). At the same time, the combination of Shimano STEPS EP801 Cargo and Cues Di2 10-speed derailleur forms the drive base for the Special Edition models Scorpion fs 20 Pedelec SE and Scorpion fs 26 Pedelec SE.
NEW: Neodrives Z20 – The Next Generation
With the start of the new model year 2023/24, we are delivering the second generation of the Z20 system (up to 25 km/h) for all Neodrives pedelec options.
The most visible sign is the completely redesigned command unit that controls the quiet motor. The EOX V1300 wireless bike computer from the sports electronics specialist Sigma takes over the display of the usual riding data. If necessary, the system can also be operated without the linked bike computer – the LEDs built into the control satellite provide information about the support level and battery charge.
The internal values have also been optimised through a standardised communication protocol. The system now reacts faster and provides reliable support from the first crank revolution.
The Neodrives Z20 system can still be configured with 3 x 10-speed Sram derailleurs or with the robust Pinion C1.12 bottom bracket gearbox.
UPDATE: Plug Holder for Neodrives V2 Batteries
For all Neodrives Z20 pedelec systems we have recently equipped the battery with a special fixing for the battery cable. The holder, which can also be retrofitted for Neodrives V2 batteries already in use, ensures a reliable connection between the battery and the battery cable including Rosenberger connector, especially on rough ground.
For retrofitting, the practical holder is available immediately under article no. HAZUAKND (MSRP €8,90 / $10.90).
UPDATE: EU Type Approvals for All HP Velotechnik S-Pedelecs Successfully Completed
It’s done: Since April 2023, the type approvals for our two “fast” recumbents Speedmachine S-Pedelec and Scorpion fs 26 S-Pedelec have been granted by the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA). The advantage of this is that S-Pedelecs from HP Velotechnik no longer have to be individually approved by the German Technical Inspection Authority (TÜV). This means that the vehicle can be put into operation by the customer immediately after delivery (in Germany, of course, only after the mandatory insurance has been taken out) – there is no longer any need to wait until the papers have been submitted.
The type approval (so-called COC documents) is also of particular interest to customers in other EU countries and in Switzerland. Here, the standardized documents make it much easier to put the vehicle into operation on the basis of the regulations applicable in the respective country.
