Novelties and Changes for the 2025/2026 Season:

Shimano STEPS EP5 Pedelec System and Nexus Inter5 Di2 Hub

For all tricycle models, we offer – since May 20, 2025 already – the new STEPS EP5 as a more powerful successor to the Shimano STEPS E6100. At the same time, we have also expanded our range of drive options with the robust Nexus Inter5 Di2 hub gears.

Discover the latest Shimano STEPS generation: With an impressive 65 Nm of torque, the new EP5 motor offers powerful yet natural support – ideal for your next ride! The motor system can be combined with a practical Sram X4 8-speed derailleur (optional surcharge SRP 2.290 €), the Nexus 8 Di2 automatic 8-speed hub gears (optional surcharge SRP 2.590 €) and additionally with the Nexus Inter5 Di2 automatic 5-speed hub gears (optional surcharge SRP 2.650 €). The new addition to our range of hub gears impresses with its particularly efficient gear selection and is particularly suitable for use in regions where a maximum spread of gear ratios is not required.

With the robust Nexus Inter5 Di2 hub gears, we are also expanding our range of drive options with the Shimano STEPS EP801 Cargo motor system. This allows you to combine a powerful motor with the fully integrated shifting performance of the Nexus Inter 5 Di2 – the optional surcharge (with 418 Wh battery) comes to an SRP of 3.290 € and is available for all trike models.

For existing tricycle models, we offer two retrofit kits based on the new Shimano STEPS EP5:

Shimano STEPS EP5 retrofit kit:    SRP 2.450 €
(without gears and battery)
Shimano STEPS EP5 retrofit kit:    SRP 2.790 €
with Shimano Nexus Inter5 Di2 (without battery)

As with all retrofits of the other Shimano STEPS systems, the EP5 system is retrofitted in our recumbent bike workshop.
