Delta tx® E-Trike With Under Seat Steering

The new steering system for our electric trike Delta tx® provides an even more relaxed riding posture.

The Delta tx® — an adult trike with two rear wheels instead of the traditional HP Velotechnik tadpole design — was originally introduced with a distinctive chopper-style handlebar. In the following model year, various stem lengths and a comfortable folding stem were added as steering options to improve ergonomic adjustment and make mounting easier.

At the start of the cycling season 2026, we are now introducing the Delta tx® with under seat steering as the latest development. In this design, the rider’s hands rest comfortably alongside the body while riding, a concept familiar from sporty recumbent trikes like the Scorpion. As with our tadpole trikes, comfort on the new under seat steering system can be further enhanced with optional hand supports. In addition to the exceptionally relaxed body position, the Delta tx® with its new under seat steering also offers a clear, panoramic forward view.

Always Ideal Distance and Height

To ensure maximum adjustability and adaptation to different body sizes, the seat mount and the steering mount are combined into a single component. For example, if the seat is moved forward, the handlebar moves with it, maintaining the ideal distance and height. For people with limited mobility, the right side of the handlebar can also be easily folded away, allowing unobstructed access when getting on.

The Delta tx® with under seat steering will be available from May in the colors Blue Flash or Sparkling Iron Gray, starting at €6,949 / US$ 8,789 from authorized bicycle dealers.
