The perfect match
Electric drive and recumbent trike like made for each other!

Want to expand your vehicles action radius? Conquer your local mountain while still smiling, even with a trailer? Or do you simply want a quick and relaxed journey to work? Our electrical auxiliary drive is the perfect solution: When you pedal, a quiet hub motor supports you by up to tripling your pedalling force. This is easy as our systems are among the most powerful and lightweight drives on the market. In addition our premium electric GO SwissDrive system convinces with spectacular features such as a reverse gear and a remote control.

Radnabenmotor GO SwissDrive

Particularly impressive: The sophisticated control technology maintains the feeling of you riding a trike when on your Scorpion; there is no jerking, no noise, and no fault-prone gas pedal or throttle! The systems are extremely reliable: it only assists you when you pedal. The motive force starts quietly with the first turn of the pedal and is gently electronically disabled when you reach 25 km/h (15 mph). This pre-programmed assistance threshold means that your electric vehicle is classified as a pedelec (Pedal Electric Cycle) in Germany and can be ridden without any license, helmet, or insurance. Above this speed, your trike almost rides like a regular cycle again – without gear friction losses thanks to the gearless hub motor.

Spectacular advantage for your vehicle with the Go Swiss drive system is the electric reverse gear. With this reversing and maneuvering work on the touch of a button, without having to get out of the drivers seat. Here the trikes can really play their trump card, when reversing safe and sound at speeds up to 3 km/h (1.86 mph).

Tailwind on the push of a button: The remote control of the new GoSwiss Drive system is attached directly on the handlebars. Everything can be controlled intuitively by thumb on the touch pads, without having to look. Though orientating becomes easy when looking at the large, anti-glare 3.2 inch colour display. Optimum readability is provided through semi-transluscent/reflective display technology which works even in strong sunlight, by actively incorporating ambient light. Various different screens for drive- or standing modes are available.

The control unit is extremely versatile: Via the in-built Bluetooth interface incoming cell phone calls can be announced while riding. Tour data can be read out with the help of an app directly to your smart phone. Via the powered (5V - 1A) USB port electronic devices like a phone can be charged.

A further major benefit of the motor used by HP Velotechnik is there ability to not only use electric power but also to generate it, to a degree. If you brake, the motor assists you. It decelerates and produces power. This protects the brakes and trickle charges the battery. On downhill sections, you can therefore replenish some of the power reserves used to go uphill. This is known as recuperation and can extend the range in total by up to 10 percent.

Practical: When placed on a training roller at home, the adjustable recuperation resistance turns your Scorpion into a comfortable recumbent home trainer. Otherwise the detachable battery can be quickly recharged from your mains socket in just a few hours. Smile: With modern green electricity, a full charge of riding pleasure is about 10 Euro-Cents only.
