Tricycle
Move like a scorpion
Even if the new Scorpion fx from HP Velotechnik doesn´t move in three directions like the animal it´s named after, it does allow the rider to move forward on three wheels - while in a lying position. This recumbent bike is fun to ride and offers great road holding. The rider leans in comfort thanks to the frame suspension, and the angle and length can be adjusted so that it´s easy to keep an eye on the road ahead.
The tricycle is also ideal for longer trips, as around 50 kg of luggage can be stowed in four pack-bags on the robust holder and the low-rider carrier behind the seat.
Another special feature: It´s quick and simple to fold the bike up into a compact package measuring 102x83x69 cm that fits easily into the car. The front wheel can also be removed using an Allen key, so the agile bike can even be stowed in the back of a Smart.
Unterwegs wie ein Scorpion
Zwar kann man sich nicht in drei Richtungen fortbewegen wie die Spinnentiere, doch man fährt mit dem neuen Scorpion fx von HP Velotechnik in einer liegenden Position auf drei Rädern. Das Liegedreirad bietet tollen Fahrspaß und eine sichere, stabile Straßenlage. In einer entspannten gefederten (Rahmenfederung) Liegeposition, die in Winkel und Länge verstellt werden kann, hat man einen guten Überblick im Straßenverkehr.
Das Dreirad eignet sich zudem auch als Reiserad, da auf dem robusten Gepäckträger und dem Lowrider-Träger hinter dem Sitz etwa 50 kg Gepäck in 4 Packtaschen untergebracht werden können.
Der Clou: Mit wenigen Handgriffen wird innerhalb kürzester Zeit aus dem Bike ein kompaktes Paket mit den Maßen 102x83x69 cm, das einfach im Auto transportiert werden kann. Mittels Imbusschlüssel kann zusätzlich noch das Vorderrad abgenommen werden, so dass der agile Flitzer in den Kofferraum eines Smart passt.
